2. Saleem Ahmed assumes charge as Chairman and
Managing Director of RVNL
Saleem Ahmed formally assumed charge as the new
Chairman and Managing Director of Rail Vikas Nigam

3. After the Fukushima shutdown, Japan will restart the

Infrastructure Investment Trust (RIIT) to operate as a
public infrastructure investment trust, as announced on

6. India's largest circular stone labyrinth discovered in
Maharashtra.
Indian archaeologists have discovered India's largestever
circular stone labyrinth in the Boramani grasslands
of Solapur district in Maharashtra, believed to be
approximately two thousand years old. This structure
dates back to the early Common Era, a period when the
Deccan region was highly active politically, economically,
and culturally.
7. The logo and mascot of the first Khelo India Tribal
Games were unveiled in Bilaspur.
In a significant step towards inclusive sports
development in India, the first edition of the Khelo India
Tribal Games has been formally launched, scheduled to
begin on February 14, 2026. The logo, theme song, and
official mascot were unveiled on this occasion, marking
the formal commencement of the event.
8. International Day of Epidemic Preparedness
The International Day of Epidemic Preparedness is
observed every year on December 27th, aiming to
strengthen global preparedness for pandemics and
infectious diseases. This day was proclaimed by the
